Men's basketball team hits road for key conference matchup

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team heads to Daytona State College Saturday needing a win to stay in the hunt for a conference title.

The Titans come into the final two games of the Central Conference 10-3 and tied atop the standings with Santa Fe College (10-3) and Polk State College (8-3). EFSC and Santa Fe each have two games left while Polk State College will play four games in the final week of the regular season.

Eastern Florida State College is 20-8 overall and is 7-1 away from Titan Field House this season. The Titans are fourth in Region VIII in defense, holding opponents to 63 points per game this season.

Daytona State College is 10-18 overall and 2-11 in the conference and are coming off a win against the Florida State College at Jacksonville Thursday night. The duo of Reggie Quezada and Johan Crafoord are each averaging 16 points a game for the Falcons while teammate Ky Stattmann comes into the contest averaging 14.6 points per game.
