Men's basketball team lost to Santa Fe College in conference game

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team lost to Santa Fe in a Central Conference game Wednesday night at Titan Field House. 

The loss tightens up the Central Conference as the Titans, Santa Fe and Polk State College are all tied atop the standings with two games left.

Santa Fe used a big second half to defeat the Titans 75-61.

Eastern Florida State College led by as many as nine points on a couple of occasions in the first half as Brandon Garcia hit five 3-pointers in the first half to help the Titans lead 42-39 at halftime.

But the second half belonged to Hassan Abdul-Hakim who scored most of his 27 points in the second half as the Saints picked up the win.

Eastern Florida State College was led by Brandon Garcia's 15 points while Vlad Salaridze finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Titans will hit the road on Saturday, travelling to Daytona State College for a conference game at 4 p.m. before finishing the regular season next Tuesday against St. Petersburg at Titan Field House.
