Berze has big day as men's basketball team rolls

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team jumped out fast and cruised past ASA Brooklyn Saturday afternoon in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Roberts Berze tied a program record with nine 3-pointers as the Titans defeated ASA Brooklyn 78-36 to finish the Pennsylvania trip 2-0.

The second-year freshman finished with a career-high 27 points, all 3-pointers and tied CJ Jackson and Ayo Dada for the most 3-pointers in a game. Reggie Hill finished with 13 points as 11 different players scored in the win.

The Titans jumped out to a 21-6 lead and went into halftime with a 36-10 lead.

Eastern Florida State College will head into the holiday break 9-4 on the season. They will be back at Titan Field House Dec. 30-31 for the Jim Grimes Classic. The Titans will play Southern Union State at 6 p.m. on Dec. 30 and then play Shelton State at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31.
