Men's basketball team in Pennsylvania for weekend of games

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team is heading north for a couple of games in Pennsylvania.

The Titans have opened the season against some of the best teams in the country and that will continue as they will play a couple of unbeaten teams in Harcum College and ASA Brooklyn this weekend in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

"I am extremely excited for the opportunity we have this coming week traveling to Philly!" Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. "It's an incredible opportunity to be able to fly to another part of the country, to have an experience we will all remember forever. It's amazing how much basketball enriches all of our lives."

The Titans will play No. 7 Harcum College Friday night at 7 p.m. The Bears are undefeated this season at 11-0 and are scoring 92.3 points per game. Harcum is led by Tre Dinkins and Yazid Powell who are averaging 15 and 14 points per game respectively while Louis Bleechmore is averaging 13 points and Mohamed Wague is scoring 12 points per game.

Then on Saturday afternoon the Titans will play ASA Brooklyn at noon who head into the weekend 5-0 on the season behind the trio of Alex Balbuena, Akeem Crandon and Israel Yaw are averaging at least 13 points per game.

"To have the opportunity to play against two undefeated teams, led by the host team Harcum College, it is just incredible. We are excited to enjoy this journey," Shulman said.

The Titans head into the weekend 7-4 on the season and are led by Brody Boyer and Roberts Berze who are both hitting about 40 percent of their 3-pointers this season. Justin Reid has had three straight big games for the Titans, averaging 10 points and 7.6 rebounds in the past five games.
