Men's basketball team ranked fourth in nation

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team is ranked fourth in the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball poll on Monday.

The Titans are coming off a big weekend, beating No. 4 Chipola College and the State College of Florida-Manatee on Brody Boyer shots at the Florida JUCO Shootout.

The ranking is the best for the Titans since 2016-17 when they were ranked fourth in Week 4. Eastern Florida State College has never been ranked higher than fourth in the national poll.

Eastern Florida State College was ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Region 8 Coaches Poll which was the first time since 2015-16 when they were ranked No. 1 for three weeks. 

"I'm just incredibly happy for our guys to be honored with the number 4 National Ranking this week," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. "Our guys are such an amazing group, I'm happy they are getting some recognition. Excited just to enjoy the journey."

Eastern Florida State College will play Spartanburg Methodist who is 5-0 on Friday at the FSW Turkey Day Classic. Then on Saturday the Titans will play No. 20 Snow College who is 4-0 on the season. Saturday's game will be at noon and both games will be shown live online at FSWBucs.com/FSWBucsLive
