Men's basketball team tops FSC Jacksonville, sets up showdown Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team took a step closer to wrapping up their second straight Mid-Florida Conference championship on Saturday.

The Titans defeated the Florida State College at Jacksonville 81-56 Saturday afternoon to improve to 8-2 in the conference and 22-6 overall.

The Titans took a 25-point lead at halftime behind sophomore Nathanael Jack's five 3-pointers. Jack finished with a team-high 26 points in the game. It is the second time this season Jack has had 26 points in a game.

Teammate Nick Stampley finished with 14 points, while Ayo Dada and Johnny Bernard each had 10 points.

Eastern Florida State College is one game ahead of Daytona State College heading into Wednesday's matchup at 7:30 p.m. It will also be Sophomore Night at Titan Field House and admission is free.
