Men's basketball team picks up big conference win

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team picked up a big Mid-Florida Conference win Saturday afternoon, defeating the College of Central Florida 76-69 at Titan Field House.

The Titans improved to 7-2 in the conference with the win and are a half a gae ahead of Daytona State College in the conference. The College of Central Florida falls to 6-3.

Eastern Florida State College came out of the locker room at halftime and went on an 10-0 run over the first four minutes of the half to take an 11-point lead, 51-40. The lead woould extend to as much as 16 points but the College of Central Florida hit some big 3-pointers down the stretch to cut the lead six. But the duo of Ayo Dada and Jalen Warren made sure the Titans would win their sixth straight game.

Dada and Warren each finished with 15 points while teammate Nick Stampley had 14 points in the win.

The Titans have two conference games left, beginning next Saturday at the Florida State College at Jacksonville before hosting Daytona State College on Feb. 20 in the regular-season finale at 7:30 p.m.
