Men's basketball team loses to Polk State on the road

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team lost for the first time this season, falling to Polk State College on the road Tuesday night. 

The Titans, who are No. 5 in the NJCAA Division I preseason poll, fell 73-65 and head into the Jim Grimes Memorial Classic 8-1 on the season.

Freshman Jonathan Ned had a team-high 20 points while Nathanael Jack had 11 and Jalen Warren had 10 points and five assists. Nick Stampley grabbed 10 rebounds and had nine points in the game.

Eastern Florida State College will host No. 8 Salt Lake Communuty College at 7 p.m. Thursday night to kick off the Jim Grimes Memorial Classic. Admission is free to games at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
