Men's basketball team beats Lawson State in Tallahassee

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team jumped out to a big lead and cruised to a 90-56 victory over Lawson State Saturday afternoon at the Tallahassee Tip-Off.

The Titans held Lawson State to 18 points in the first half and led by 25 points at halftime as they improved to 2-0 on the season.

Sophomore Nathanael Jack made six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 23 points while freshman Jonathan Ned continued his strong start, scoring 18 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Johnny Bernard finished with 12 points and Ayo Dada had six points, five assists and four rebounds in the win.

Eastern Florida State College will host ASA Miami in the home opener at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night at Titan Field House. Admission to games at Titan Field House is free.
