The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team opened the second half on a 14-2 run and went on to defeat Daytona State College 90-71 in a Mid-Florida Conference game at Titan Field House Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore guard Ahmed Ali had another big day, tying his career high with 37 points in the win. Ali has scored 76 points in the last three games, averaging 25 points per game.
With the Titans up 53-36, Daytona State's Clive Allen hit back-to-back 3-pointers to cut the lead to 11. The Titans would build the lead back to 20 points and cruise to victory.
Logan Folsom finished with 11 points while Eli Abaev and Silad Adheke each had 10 in the win.
The Titans, who are now 22-3 overall and 5-2 in the conference, will host Santa Fe College Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in a Mid-Florida Conference game before traveling to the College of Central Florida on Saturday.
