Big week of games for the men's basketball team
The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team has had almost a week off to prepare for the next two weeks.
The Titans are 3-2 in the Mid-Florida Conference after losing to the College of Central Florida for the second time this season.
The Titans look to get back on track Wednesday night, traveling to the Florida State College at Jacksonville for a conference game at 7 p.m. Then on Saturday afternoon, Daytona State College comes to Titan Field House for a 2 p.m. tipoff in a game televised live on WEFS-TV and online at efsctitans.com/webcast.
Then they will host Santa Fe in a battle for second place in the conference on Feb. 7 before heading to Ocala for a showdown with first-place College of Central Florida on Feb. 10.
Sophomore guard Ahmed Ali is averaging 18.7 points per game this season and is coming off a 20-point performance against the College of Central Florida and has scored 15 or more points in 16 of the team's 23 games this season.
Eastern Florida State College is 20-3 overall and ranked No. 15 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll.
