Men's basketball player Michael Nuga named Region 8 Player of the Week

Eastern Florida State College men's basketball player Michael Nuga was named the Region 8 Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.

Nuga led the Titans to a perfect week, averaging almost 25 points per game over three games, including a career-best 35 points against ASA Miami.

The sophomore from Toronto, Canada is averaging 13.4 points per game and has scored at least 17 points in seven of the 14 games this season.

The Titans will be back on the court Dec. 29 and 30 in the Josh Artis Classic. Eastern Florida State College will play Baltimore City Community College on Dec. 29 at 5 p.m. and No. 14 Shelton State at 2 p.m. Dec. 30 at Titan Field House. Admission is free.
