Men's basketball drops Chipola College, heads to break 13-1

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team wrapped up the JUCO Shootout with a 102-64 victory over No. 22 Chipola College Sunday night in Gainesville.

Eastern Florida State College jumped out to a 27-point lead in the first half and led by as many as 38 in the game as the No. 7 Titans won for the 12th straight time and head into the Christmas break 13-1 on the season.

Freshman Nathanael Jack set a new career high with 24 points while sophomore Michael Nuga finished with 20 points. Sophomores Shaq Carter and Ahmed Ali each had 14 points while Silas Adheke had 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

The Titans will host the Josh Artis Classic after Christmas with the Titans playing Baltimore City Community College at 5 p.m. on Dec. 29 and then face No. 14 Shelton State at 2 p.m. on Dec. 30.

Admission is free to Titans games at Titan Field House.
