Men's basketball trio sign NLI to attend NCAA Division I schools
Three members of the Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team signed National Letters of Intent to play NCAA Division I basketball next season.
Shaq Carter officially signed with Rutgers University, while Ahmed Ali signed with Kent State and Shaq Seville will attend Alabama A&M.
"It is a great day," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. "I could not be more proud of these three, they are starting their second season here and are not only great players but great men."
Carter, a forward from Deerfield Beach, FL, started 37 games and averaged 9.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game last season.
Ali, a point guard from Toronto, Canada, started 34 games last season and averaged 15.9 points, 4.9 assists and four rebounds per game.
Seville, a center from Palm Bay, FL, played in 18 games last season and was one of the emotional leaders for the Titans who reached the NJCAA Divison I National Championship Game last season.
The Titans' home opener will be Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. against Miami Dade.
