The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team faltered down the stretch in a battle of top-five teams in the nation Saturday night in Indiana.
The No. 5 Titans were leading with six minutes to go, but went cold down the stretch and lost 83-78 to No. 4 Vincennes University.
Sophomore Eli Abaev had a double-double, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds while Ahmed Ali had 14 points and Logan Folsom added 10. Freshman Jalen Warren led the Titans in scoring with 18 points.
The Titans (1-1) will travel north on Friday and Saturday to play a couple of neutral site games, facing South Georgia Technical College on Friday in Tallahassee and then playing Coastal Alabama at Northwest Florida State College on Saturday. The home opener will be Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. at Titan Field House.
