Titans' Noah Horchler will attend North Florida in the Fall

Noah Horchler came to Eastern Florida State College with the hopes of going to a Division I college and that dream has come true for the Melbourne High School graduate.

Horchler made it official by deciding to attend the University of North Florida next semester.

"Just an exciting thing for Noah," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. "When we recruited him as a non-qualifier he had very few schools looking at him and I told him very sincerely that if he came here, bought in to the system and worked hard he would only need to be here one year to get a Division I scholarship and sure enough he is leaving for North Florida."

Horchler became a dependable player off the bench for the Titans during their run in the NJCAA Men's Basketball Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas and finished the season averaging close to five points and four rebounds per game.

"He had some ups and downs and growing pains early but by the second semester and in the stretch run he became an unbelievable player that a lot of Division I schools wanted but he chose a great spot with coach (Matthew) Driscoll and North Florida," Shulman said.

Horchler becomes the fourth player to move on to a Division I school from the Titans squad that finished with a school-record 31 wins.
