Titan men's basketball team rolls past ASA Miami

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team raced out to a 13-0 lead and never looked back, defeating ASA Miami 106-57 Tuesday night in a Southern Conference game at Titan Field House.

The Titans, who improved to 19-3 overall and 5-2 in the conference, held the Silver Storm to 14 points in the first half.

"To hold ASA Miami who is a high-scoring team to just 14 points in the first half, we guarded. We guarded well," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. "I am excited. We guarded well, I am really excited about our defensive effort."

While the defense was holding the Silver Storm in check, the offense was clicking as well. Kareem Brewton led the attack with 25 points while Joan Duran and Ahmed Ali each had 14 points and Kaleel Solomon had 11.

Lawrence Barnes had a big second half for ASA Miami scoring 16 of his 20 points in the half.

The Titans will be back at Titan Field House Saturday afternoon as Broward College visits for a 2 p.m. game. Admission is free and the game will be shown live on WEFS-TV and online at efsctitans.com/webcast
