Titan men's basketball team cruises past Polk State

The Eastern Florida State College men's basketball team bounced back in a big way Saturday afternoon, defeating Polk State College 94-60 on the road.

It was the Titans sixth win of the season and came after falling to St. Petersburg earlier in the week.

But on Saturday the Titans came out fast and led by 26 points at the half.

"Very proud of the guys tonight, we went on the road in a tough environment and played a very good team and really responded after some adversity earlier in the week," Eastern Florida State College men's basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. "Really pleased with what I saw tonight and had a lot of different guys step up."

Ahmed Ali once again led the Titans attack with 21 points while Austin Awad scored 15 on five 3-pointers. Joan Duran finished with 14 and Kareem Brewton added 12 points in the win.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Monroe N.Y. Dec 1-2 for the Monroe Classic.
