Baseball team hosts Indian River State College Friday night

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team will host Indian River State College Friday night in the final home game of the season.

The Titans will look for their 15th win of the season at Bruce Bochy Field Friday night at 6 p.m. and admission is free.

Eastern Florida State College leads Region VIII in stolen bases with 120 which ranks as one of the top seasons in the past 15 years. Carlos Cordero leads the team in hitting as the infielder is hitting .362 with 26 stolen bases which is two short of the 28 that Dalton Robinson had last season and Dylan Espinal in 2018. Teammate Jacob Vermeire has two hits in each of the past four games and has a five-game hitting streak. 

The Titans have played extra innings in each of the past two games and come into Friday's game 22-24 overall.

Indian River State College comes off a walk-off win against Florida Southwestern on Wednesday and has won four of the past six games. Raul Feliz comes into the matchup hitting .416 which is third in Region VIII.

The Pioneers are leading the season series 4-2.
