The Eastern Florida State College baseball team battled Miami Dade College for 12 innings Wednesday afternoon at Bruce Bochy Field.

The Titans played an extra inning game for the second straight game, this time falling to the Sharks 7-6 in 12 innings.

Eastern Florida State College struck back after falling behind 2-0 in the top of the first inning as Carlos Cordero worked a walk to lead off the inning, stole both second and third, scoring on an error.

The Titans would tie the game in the third inning when Jacob Vermeire doubled to lead off the inning and scored on Dalton Robinson's single.

The game would remain tied until the sixth inning as Brady Guthrie came in and tossed three innings of shutout baseball, striking out three.

Miami Dade took advantage of some walks to score twice in the top of the sixth inning but once again the Titans struck right back. This time they would take the lead for the first time as five Titans would walk in the four-run inning.

Will Smith came in to get the final out of the top of the sixth inning and then pitched two scoreless innings as the Titans led 6-4 heading to the ninth inning.

But Miami Dade would score twice with two outs in the ninth to tie the game.

The game went into extra innings and remained tied until the Sharks scored a run in the 12th inning.

Robinson, Vermeire and Ryne Wallace each had two hits in the game.
