Baseball team falls to Florida Southwestern on the road

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost a Southern Conference game on the road Friday afternoon against Florida Southwestern.

After falling behind early, the Titans rallied back with three runs in the sixth inning to tie the game, but Florida Southwestern State College hit five home runs in the game to post the 10-6 win.

The third game of the series will be Saturday at noon in Fort Myers.

Leadoff hitter Carlos Cordero had four hits and scored three times while Eddiel Tolentino had two hits and drove in three runs. Dalton Robinson hit a ball off the top of the fence in the ninth to drive in a run with the double.

KC Swords took the loss, striking out eight in six and a third innings.

The two teams will meet at noon on Saturday in Fort Myers for the final game of the series.
