Robinson tosses complete game in win over Florida Southwestern

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team defeated Florida Southwestern State College Wednesday in the first game of a three-game series.

Eastern Florida State College starting pitcher Dalton Robinson tossed a complete game as the Titans won 9-5 to win their fourth straight game.

Robinson finished the game with a strikeout and had six in the game as he picked up his fourth win of the season. It is the first complete game by a Titans starter since the 2019-20 season when Jackson Woodward tossed a two-hitter against Palm Beach State College.

Robinson also had a good day at the plate with three hits. He singled in the first inning, stole second and scored on Eddiel Tolentino's single to make it 1-0 Titans.

Florida Southwestern hit a home run to tie the game, 1-1.

But in the sixth inning the Titans broke through as the first six batters of the inning would score as the Titans scored seven times.

Adrian Dominguez would double in the seventh and score on Laheim Bell's single for the ninth run.

Tolentino and Robinson each had three hits in the game.

The Titans will travel to Fort Myers to play the final two games of the series on Friday and Saturday. Friday's game will begin at 2 p.m. at Florida Southwestern with Saturday's game scheduled to begin at noon.
