Baseball team rolls past Webber International JV

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team defeated Webber International JV Monday night at Bruce Bochy Field.

The Titans came out swinging, scoring five times in the first inning and three more in the second to roll to a 13-5 victory.

The first four players reached base and came around to score during the five-run inning as Zach Taylor, Eddiel Tolentino and Gabnriel Cruz all had RBI singles in the first inning.

Taylor had five hits in the contest, scoring three times while Cruz had RBI singles in each of his first three at-bats. Eddiel Tolentino also continued his strong hitting, hitting a couple of doubles and two singles in the game.

The Titans will open the Southern Conference this week with a series against Miami Dade College. The conference opener will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field with the next two games in Miami on Friday and Saturday.
