Baseball team falls on the road

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost on the road Tuesday evening.

The Titans, who are now 8-9 on the season, fell to the State College of Florida Manatee 10-6. Eastern Florida State College got on the board first with two runs but SCF-Manatee scored 10 straight runs and held the 10-2 lead until the seventh inning.

Eastern Florida State College scored one in the seventh and then three in the eighth inning highlighted by a two-run double by Adrian Dominguez. The Titans had players on first and third in the ninth inning but could not cut into the Manatee lead.

Gabriel Cruz had two hits and drove in two runs and Dominguez drove in three runs in the game. The Titans stole seven bases in the game.

Eastern Florida State College will host the Florida Palms University Wednesday at 5 p.m. Admission to games at Bruce Bochy Field are free.
