Baseball team loses to Seminole State College

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost to Seminole State College Monday evening at Bruce Bochy Field.

The Titans got behind and could not rally back, falling 7-3 in the non-conference matchup.

After a scoreless first two innings, Seminole State College scored four times in the third inning as the Raiders had three hits to9 go with two walks in the inning. The Raiders would score two more times in the fourth inning to take a 6-0 lead.

The Titans would get on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning as Wilfredo Maldanado led off with a single, then Eddiel Tolentino was hit by pitch. Adrian Dominguez singled to load the bases with nobody out. The first run would score when Keybar Lopez was hit by a pitch. Carlos Cordero drove in the second run with a walk. But the Raiders got out of the inning with a double play.

Each team would score in the ninth inning as Dalton Robinson had an RBI single, scoring Gabriel Cruz who led off with an infield single.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Seminole State College on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. game and then will host the State College of Florida, Manatee on Saturday at Bruce Bochy Field for a 2 p.m. game.
