Baseball team falls short on the road Saturday

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team fell short in an offensive battle with No. 4 College of Central Florida Saturday on the road.

The Titans, who fell to 2-4, lost to the Patriots 13-10 in the first of a back-to-back as the College of Central Florida will be at Bruce Bochy Field on Monday.

Eastern Florida State College took a commanding 6-0 lead with a five-run second inning as Adrian Dominguez, Wilfredo Maldanado, Keybar Lopez and Dalton Robinson and Zach Taylor all scored in the inning.

The Patriots cut the lead in half in the third and up 7-4 after five innings, the sixth inning saw the College of Central Florida take the lead, scoring seven runs. Both teams would score twice in the seventh inning.

Robinson drove in three runs and Carlos Cordero had three hits and scored four times for the Titans.

Eastern Florida State College will host the College of Central Florida at 4 p.m. Monday in the home opener for the Titans.
