Florida State College at Jacksonville
The Eastern Florida State College baseball team defeated the Florida State College at Jacksonville 9-3 Tuesday on the road.
After going down 2-1 after one inning, the Titans scored four times in the second inning behind a two-run double by Tyler Isenberg and then a two-run home run by Alejandro Rodriguez.
They would tack on runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings to pick up the victory.
The duo of Rafael Acosta and Toshawn Drew combined for 5 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, striking out nine.
Rodriguez finished with three hits including his second home run of the year while Dawson Fietsam, Cory Leech and Jonathan Hubbard each had two hits.
The Titans, who improved to 11-12 on the season, will be back at Titan Field House tonight against Kalamazoo Community College. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
