Baseball team falls in pitching duel with College of Central Florida

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost a pitching duel with the College of Central Florida Saturday afternoon at Bruce Bochy Field.

The Titans lost 2-1 to fall to 5-6 on the season.

Freshman starter Andrew Walters allowed one run on two hits over five innings, striking out six in the loss. Tyler Vogel relieved Walters in the sixth and went four innings, allowing one run on one hit and struck out four.

Lake Fisher doubled in the ninth inning and scored the lone run for the Titans. Teammate Alejandro Rodriguez went 2-for-4 in the game.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Daytona State College on Wednesday for a 3 p.m. game before hosting Lake Sumter State College Friday at 1 p.m.
