Baseball team hosts Hillsborough CC Wednesday

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team is back at Bruce Bochy Field Wednesday evening for a non-conference game against Hillsborough Community College.

The Titans are coming off a come-from-behind victory at Hillsborough on Monday afternoon as freshman Jonathan Hubbard's two-run triple in the eighth inning gave the Titans the 4-2 win.

Sophomore Rafael Acosta will make his second start of the season Wednesday after a rough first inning cost him on Opening Day against St. Johns River State College.

After three games, the team has a 3.60 ERA as a staff with 40 strikeouts in 25 innings.

Wednesday's game will begin at 6 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field and admission is free.
