Carter Stewart named NJCAA Region 8 Pitcher of the Week

Eastern Florida State College's Carter Stewart was named the NJCAA Region 8 Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season.

Stewart allowed just three hits and an unearned run in six strong innings, striking out 12 in a no-decision against Broward College in the Southern Conference Tournament.

The freshman from Eau Gallie High School finished the season 2-2 with 108 strikeouts and a 1.70 ERA in 13 starts for the Titans. The right-hander finishes the season as the ERA and strikeout leader in Region 8 and finishes 14^th in the nation in ERA and tied for seventh in strikeouts. The Titans finished fifth in the nation in strikeouts with 544.  

The Titans finished the season 31-20.
