Connor Brian named NJCAA Region 8 Pitcher of the Week

Eastern Florida State College pitcher Connor Brian was named the NJCAA Region 8 Pitcher of the Week.

Brian tossed six innings of one-hit baseball, striking out six in a 10-0 victory over ASA Miami on Saturday for his fifth win of the season.

The freshman from Coral Springs has a 2.39 ERA in 12 appearances which is seventh in the state and has 62 strikeouts. It is the second time this season that Brian has been named the NJCAA Region 8 pitcher of the week. The right-hander has also been named the NJCAA Division I pitcher of the week earlier this season.

The Titans begin a three-game series with Palm Beach State College on Wednesday. Eastern Florida State College will be at Palm Beach State College Wednesday and then host Palm Beach at 4 p.m. on Friday at Bruce Bochy Field before wrapping up the series at Palm Beach State Saturday afternoon.
