Baseball team has big night against Keiser JV

The Eastern Florida State College baseball team had 17 hits in a 12-1 win in five innings against the Keiser University JV team Monday at Bruce Bochy Field.

Alejandro Rodriguez led the attack, going 4-for-4 with two doubles, scored twice and drove in three runs. Six different players had two hits including leadoff hitter Steven Lugo who hit his fourth home run of the season in the second inning.

Austin Bates also had two hits and has now recorded a hit in 20 straight games for the Titans.

On the mound, Bailey Wendel allowed one run on one hit over five innings, striking out eight for his third win of the season.

Lightning stopped the game after five innings.

The Titans will travel to Rollins College to play Rollins JV on Wednesday night before returning to Bruce Bochy Field for games Friday and Saturday against ASA Miami.
