The Eastern Florida State College baseball team defeated Palm Beach State College Friday afternoon on the road.
The Titans evened the three-game series with an 8-3 victory and will go for the series win at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bruce Bochy Field.
Sophomore Pablo Barquero allowed two runs over seven solid innings to pick up his third win of the season and Rafael Acosta finished the game.
Alvaro Valdez went 5-for-5 with two doubles, scored three times and drove in three more in the win while JD Stubbs had two hits and drove in three runs. Steven Lugo also had two hits in the win.
Eastern Florida State College is now 16-11 overall and 5-3 in the Southern Conference.
