Titans Collect 18 hits in Non-Conference Home Win

March 15, 2016 -- Manny Rodriguez went 4 for 6 with a solo home run and two stolen bases to help the Eastern Florida State College baseball team to a 10-2 non-conference victory over Collège Laflèche of Quebec, Canada Tuesday night at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne campus.

Sammy Duran, Cody Neal and Anthony Martinez all had two hits and drove in two runs for the Titans (19-9). Duran added two stolen bases.

Norberto Navarro had two hits and Ian Lisle had two hits and an RBI. AJ Puigcerver also drove in a run for EFSC, which jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning.

The Titans would have 18 hits on the night and now have 32 hits – and 19 runs – in their last two games.

On the mound, Eddie Escribano allowed two runs on six hits while also striking out six.

Gabriel Rodriguez, Chase Evans and Ruben Garcia all threw a scoreless inning in relief. Rodriguez struck out three in his inning.

The Titans will be back in action on Wednesday when they host ASA Miami at 6 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field. Admission is free.
