Titans Fall to Palm Beach for Fifth Straight Loss

Eastern Florida's baseball team dropped its fifth straight game on Wednesday, falling 5-3 to Palm Beach State at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus.

The loss, the fourth straight in the FCSAA Southern Conference, dropped the Titans to 4-6 in the conference and 15-10 overall. 

Palm Beach improved to 6-4 and 14-12.

The Titans collected 10 hits but left 12 runners on base. Ten Titans struck out. The Titans also committed two errors.

Manny Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with a run batted in for the Titans. Ian Lisle scored two runs and had an RBI triple.

Palm Beach broke a 1-1 tie with four runs in the top of the eighth. The Titans responded with two runs in the last of the eighth but couldn't score again.

Jake Walsh pitched five scoreless innings for the Titans, striking out eight. Reliever Tim Luth took the loss.

The Titans return to action hosting conference foe Broward College at 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.
