Titans Score 11-1 Baseball Victory

Eastern Florida's baseball team continued its offensive surge on Friday, banging out 12 hits in an 11-1 victory over CCBC Catonsville at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus.

 

The Titans have 48 hits in their last three games and have scored 31 runs.

 

Jake Walsh went six innings allowing three hits and fanning eight batters to get the victory for the Titans who improved to 9-5.

 

The game was the season-opener for Catonsville.

 

Manny Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a double and two stolen bases; Norbert Navarro went 2-for-5; Reuben Garcia 2-for-5 with two stolen bases; Sammy Duran 2-for-5 with a home run and four runs batted in; and Ian Lisle 1-for-3 with a stolen base.

 

Catonsville managed seven hits and made four errors. The Titans committed two errors.

 

Next up for the Titans is a 5 p.m. Monday home  game against Lake-Sumter State. Admission is free.
