Titans Fall to Polk State
Eastern Florida's baseball team outhit Polk State College on Tuesday but couldn't outscore the visitors, falling 5-3 at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus.
Eastern Florida fell to 7-5 on the season. Polk improved to 7-4.
Matt Meyers took the loss for the Titans who collected 12 hits to seven for Polk State.
Sammy Duran went 3-for-4 for the Titans with two runs batted in. Manny Rodriguez and Ian Lisle had two hits each.
"We had some opportunities but could not get it done," said Eastern Florida head coach Jeff Tam. "The guys played well we just needed that one hit."
The Titans travel to Leesburg to play Lake-Sumter State at 5 p.m. Wednesday and host CCBC Catonsville at 3 p.m. Friday. Admission is free.
