Dugazon, Knoflach named Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week

A pair of freshmen basketball players had huge weeks, leading their teams to victories and are this week's Eastern Florida State College Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 12.

Brian Dugazon, a freshman from Lauderdale Lakes, was named Male Athlete of the Week for the second straight week. This week the guard averaged 32 points per game with 4.5 rebounds and six assists. He helped the Titans pick up a big win against Daytona State College, scoring a season-high 41 points and dished out nine assists, going 18-for-21 from the free-throw line.

Anja Knoflach, a freshman from Graz, Austria, scored a season-high 25 points in a road win against the College of Central Florida and followed that up with 12 points on Saturday against St. Petersburg College. For the week, the guard made six of her 11 3-point attempts.

The men's basketball team will travel to Santa Fe on Wednesday night for a Mid-Florida Conference matchup while the women's basketball team heads to Hillsborough Community College Wednesday for a Suncoast Conference game.

Both teams will be back at Titan Field House on Saturday afternoon for a doubleheader beginning with the women's game at 2 p.m. The men's game will begin at 4 p.m.
