Trio named student-athletes of the week

For the third straight week a trio of Eastern Florida State College athletes were named student-athletes of the week for the week ending Feb. 10.

Men's basketball player Ayo Dada helped the Titans to two big Mid-Florida Conference wins, hitting 11 3-pointers in the two games, including nine against Santa Fe. The sophomore from Houston, Texas averaged 22 points, five rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in the two games.

Softball player Hailey Profeta hit .583 over four games with two doubles, a triple and a home run. The sophomore from Holiday, Florida drove in seven runs and also did not make an error in 11 chances at second base. Profeta and the softball team will be home Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday this week.

Women's basketball player Jacquelyn Levay averaged 24 points in two games this week. The freshman from Tampa scored a career-high 27 points against Florida Southwestern and then had 21 against IMG Academy. Levay has scored at least 10 points in nine of the past 10 games for the Titans.
