Basketball teams host key conference games Wednesday night

The conference season is heating up and the Eastern Florida State College basketball teams are hosting a key doubleheader on Wednesday evening.

The women's basketball team will host No. 13 Florida Southwestern who is in first place in the Suncoast Conference. The Titans come into the game 3-2 in the conference and have won two straight. Florida Southwestern is unbeaten in conference play and lead the series 4-2 in the past three seasons.

Tip-off will be at 5:30 p.m. at Titan Field House.

The men's basketball team will take the court following the women's game. The men's team is a half a game out of first place and will host Santa Fe who took first-place College of Central Florida to overtime on Saturday.

The Titans come into the game on a four-game win streak and are coming off an 88-80 win against No. 25 Daytona State College. Eastern Florida State College beat Santa Fe 67-58 in the first meeting and leads the series 4-1 in the past five meetings.
