Letcher, Hernandez named student-athletes of the week

Volleyball player Ariel Letcher and men's soccer player Uziel Hernandez were named Eastern Florida State College student-athletes of the week for the week ending Oct. 7.

Letcher finished the week with 20 kills, 25 digs and three aces in two matches this week for the Titans.

Hernandez scored the game-winning goal on the road against ASA Miami as the men's soccer team improved to 2-2 in the Region 8 Conference.

The women's volleyball team will host Daytona State College Tuesday night at 7 p.m. and then travel to the College of Central Florida on Thursday night. The men's soccer team travels to Broward College on Wednesday night and then to Daytona State College on Saturday to wrap up the Region 8 Conference season.
