Calvo, Kistler, Snyder Receive Recognition

Baseball player Blair Calvo and softball players Natasha Kistler and Alexa Snyder are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 3.

Calvo, a sophomore right-hander from St. Augustine, Florida and Nease High, allowed six hits and struck out six over eight innings as the Titans shut out host Broward College 4-0.

Calvo has a 6-1 record. His 1.21 earned run average ranks him seventh nationally while his 66 strikeouts rank him ninth. His six wins rank him 17th.

He is averaging 9.96 strikeouts per game and opponents are hitting .166. He has not allowed a home run in 59.2 innings.

Kistler, a sophomore infielder/outfielder from Jacksonville, Florida and Bishop Snyder High, hit .375 as the Titans split six games. She scored six runs and had four runs batted in. She also hit a triple.

Snyder, a sophomore right-hander from Las Vegas and Cimarron Memorial High, pitched a five-inning no-hitter with six strikeouts in an 11-0 victory over Broward College.

Snyder is 16-10 this season over 151 innings with a 2.46 earned run average and 107 strikeouts.
