Drebka, Duran, Snyder Student-Athletes of Month

Women's tennis player Katharina Drebka, baseball player Sammy Duran and softball player Alexa Snyder are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the Month for March.

Drebka of Stuttgart Germany is the Titans No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles player. She was the driving force behind the Titans moving up six spots to No. 14 in the nation in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.

Drebka led the way with wins in team victories over No. 8 Hillsborough Community College, No. 16 Meridian Community College, No. 21 Hinds Community College and three NCAA DII programs.

Duran, a freshman from Melbourne, Florida and Melbourne High, leads the Titans with 78 total bases, 12 extra base hits, a .413 batting average, .455 on base percentage, .565 slugging percentage, 57 hits, three home runs, 28 runs batted in, 12 steals and five hit by pitches. He is tied for the team lead with three sacrifice flys, 29 runs scored and three triples.

In the outfield he has 78 putouts and three assists in 81 chances with no errors for the Titans who are in first place in the Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference.

Snyder, a right-handed sophomore pitcher from Las Vegas and Cimarron Memorial High, won four games and lost two. She pitched 39 innings allowing 20 hits, striking out 31 and walking only eight.

The Titans are in second place in the Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference.
